Multiple and diverse exercise routines are associated with a reduced risk of death
Did you know that engaging in many types of physical activity lowers your risk of early death more than just one exercise, even when the total workout time remains the same?
Varying our exercise routine protects many different systems simultaneously. This includes your muscles, heart, lungs, balance and metabolism which supports long-term resilience as you get older.
Individual exercises help, but only to a certain point as benefits will plateau. Mixing activities allows you to stack the benefits while reducing the risk of overtraining or burnout.
Ideally, your exercise routine should include walking, strength training, mobility/stretching and movement patterns the human was designed and evolved to do.
Moderate duration of varied movement outperforms intense, single-type workouts. This makes it easier to stick with a routine, stay active and without injury.
Let me know if I can assist you with your exercise program whether it involves strength, flexibility/mobility, or general fitness.
I would be happy to help you
