5 habits to boost your energy
To boost your energy, focus on these five habits:
Hydrate First: Drink filtered water as soon as you wake up. Mild dehydration causes fatigue and brain fog. While it is not a perfect science as to how much water you drink during the day. Drink when you are thirsty
Move Daily: Do 20-30 minutes of light physical activity (like a brisk walk, body weight exercises, stretching) to improve oxygen flow and cellular energy. You can also practice movement snacks of 5-10 minutes 2-3 x per day.
Optimize Sleep: Follow a consistent sleep schedule, optimise your sleep hygiene by removing electronic devices from your bedroom, avoid screentime 60 minutes before bed, and sleep in complete darkness to improve rest and regeneration.
Breathwork- Practice diaphragmatic brrathing which involves engaging your diaphragm to take slow, deep breaths. This technique lowers your heart rate, decreases cortisol levels, and activates your parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest and digest" response) to reduce stress.
Avoid stimulants such as coffee, alcohol, sugary and "energy" drinks. They all energy draining.
